Organic Health Alliance relies on cupping therapy in addressing the pain and anxiety of fibromyalgia, migraines and injuries, and as an aid to cellulite reduction and weight loss. Cupping is one of the premier deep-tissue therapies available and can affect tissues up to four inches deep. Cupping can also be used as a facial treatment to reduce swelling and increase nourishing blood flow to the delicate skin of the face and neck. Cupping Therapy is based on negative pressure vacuum techniques that gently break up the fibrosis and lactic acid surrounding trigger points and tight muscles. It also has the benefit of sedating your nervous system to reduce pain and increase fluid exchange in your body.

This ancient healing art helps to restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium, reduce pain, improve circulation and promote overall healing. Reflex areas on the feet and hands are linked to other areas and organs of the body. We use reflexology to restore and maintain your body’s natural equilibrium. The application and effect of this therapy is unique for each individual. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and we work on those points to release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. Reflexological therapy is a very gentle complementary therapy; most people find the process extremely relaxing. A typical treatment is 45 minutes to 60 minutes long and is prefaced with a consultation about your health and lifestyle.

Kinesiotaping is a wonderful physical medicine technique based on the body’s own natural healing processes. Microcirculatory effects include superficial fascial thixotropy, wave pattern formation, improved lymphatic flow and improved superficial compression. Neurologically, kinesiotaping enhances sensory stimulation. This has several advantages for promoting health and recovery, such as a reduced perception of pain, restoration of normal muscle activation & functional stability, promotion of peripheral neuroplasticity and stimulation of the skin’s endogenous analgesic system.  Maria is a certified kinesiotaping therapist and with ample experience utilizing the technique for various conditions, including post-surgical joint support, improving postural stances, lymphedema, sprains and strains, and preventative muscle support for athletes and those with muscle and joint weakness.
